This policy explains what information Owner Dependency Tax™ ("ODT," "we," "us") collects when you use this site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can reach us about it. It covers ownerdependencytax.com and the assessment, report, and coaching tools linked from it.

Information we collect

When you take an assessment, request a report, or register through this site, we collect:

Contact details you provide: name, email, phone, company name, revenue range
Your assessment answers and the scores/report generated from them
Financial estimates you enter for the value-gap calculator or complete assessment (e.g. EBITDA, hours worked), used only to generate your report
If you use the coaching bot: the messages you send it, along with your assessment context, so it can respond relevantly
If you purchase the Complete Assessment: payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we receive confirmation that you paid, not your card details

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use this site — pages viewed, referring links, approximate location, and device type, in aggregate. It sets analytics cookies only after you accept the cookie notice on this site; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share this data. Google processes it as our data processor under their own privacy terms.

Accounts

Submitting an assessment or registration form automatically creates an account under the email you provide, so you can return later — via a sign-in link we email you, no password involved — to pick up an in-progress paid assessment or see your results over time. See our Terms of Service for more.

Where a form offers an optional box for occasional updates (beyond your results and account emails), we only send those if you check it, and you can unsubscribe at any time without affecting the transactional emails you're otherwise entitled to.

To score your assessment and generate your personalized report (PDF)
To email you your report, your account sign-in link, and any related follow-up
To power the coaching bot's responses to you
To let our team follow up about your results or a strategy call, if you've expressed interest
To send occasional updates, only if you've opted in

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this site. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

Supabase — hosts our database, file storage, backend functions, and account sign-in
Stripe — processes payment for the Complete Assessment; we never see or store your card details
Anthropic (Claude) — powers the coaching bot's conversational responses; your messages and assessment context are sent to generate a reply
Resend — delivers report, account, and notification emails
Browserless — renders your PDF report; it processes your report data briefly and does not retain it
HubSpot — our CRM, so our team can follow up with you if appropriate
Vercel — hosts this website

We don't sell your information. We don't share it with anyone outside the list above except if required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your assessment and contact information for as long as your account or relationship with us is active, so you can access past reports and continue any coaching sprint in progress. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see below).

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing joe@ownerdependencytax.com. We'll respond as quickly as we can.
